Several
years ago the staff of GES thought it would be
nice to involve some selected students to help
with community projects and services around the
school. The students must maintain an A/B
average and be good role models for other
students.
The Student Council consists of students
from 4th and 5th grade.
They meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays in Mrs. Kanupp’s
room from 2:30 – 3:30.
Some of the responsibilities of Student
Council members include recycling and helping
the staff with different duties. The students
recycle every Tuesday and Thursday. In years
past we have been active in March of Dimes and
collecting tabs for Ronald McDonald house. The
students also welcome new students at our school
with a tour of the school and a pencil pouch.
