Caldwell READS - Little Read Contest

GES has 2 chances to win a chance to have author Bruce Hale visit.

Bruce Hale, author of the popular Chet Gecko Mysteries series, will visit two elementary schools in Caldwell County on October 14th. Will Gamewell Elementary be one of the schools fortunate enough to have Bruce Hale visit??? There are two ways to win one of the visits:

1. Caldwell County Schools is hosting a county-wide reading “competition” among elementary schools starting Thursday, September 4th. It will run four weeks, and the school with the most AR points per student while maintaining at least an 85% accuracy rate will win one of the author visits. We hope each 3rd - 5th grade student will read, read, read and do their part to help us win an author visit by Bruce Hale.

2. Caldwell County Public Library is conducting a Library Card Sign Up Contest from September 8th - 27th. The school that has the most students sign up for a new card or update their current library card will win a visit from Bruce Hale. Make plans to visit Caldwell County Public Library to get a library card or update your library card and help GES win an author visit.
